For those struggling with addiction, a rehabilitation program can make the difference between relapse and success. Given that most facilities cater primarily to men, it should come as no surprise that most female clients find they have more success after enrolling in a Women's Addiction Treatment Program. Read on to find out about treatment options at one christian rehab for women below.
Medical Detox
Clients suffering from serious addictions may also face potentially life-threatening withdrawal symptoms during the first three to five days after they quit. The purpose of medical detoxification is to help clients manage these symptoms while their bodies are cleansed of the toxins that have built up as a result of their substance use. This phase of treatment focuses on evaluation, stabilization, and fostering treatment entry and is not a stand-alone solution for getting off of drugs or alcohol.
Accelerated Treatment Programs
Many clients find that one to three month accelerated treatment programs offer the perfect option for getting clean. The length of participation in accelerated programs will depend on each client's needs. During this one-to-three month period, clients will receive nutritional counseling, work with a personal trainer, participate in three church services a week and Bible studies, and engage in group activities designed to teach them the coping skills they need to move on with their lives without using substances.
Extended Treatment Programs
Some clients find that they require extended treatment for up to six months to successfully learn how to manage their addictions. In addition to receiving the services offered to clients enrolled in accelerated treatment programs, extended programs also offer life skills training, pre-job training, and skill-building courses such as financial management and team-building activities. Most clients return to work or begin attending school while they are still enrolled in in-patient treatment.
Outpatient Treatment Options
Those who have strong support networks in their homes may find that outpatient treatment offers them a better solution than long-term, in-patient care. Clients who participate in outpatient addiction treatment programs are offered the support and accountability they need to get clean and sober while continuing to live at home. Some clients even continue to work throughout their treatment. While enrolled in these programs, patients will learn how to establish healthy social networks, avoid relapse triggers, and solve personal problems without using substances.
Aftercare Activities
Many clients who complete inpatient or intensive outpatient programs choose to enroll in aftercare groups and activities. This offers them the ability to remain accountable while simultaneously learning new skills, meeting new people, and providing support to those who are struggling with similar problems.
